Van Thanh Flower Village
Not far from the city limits of Dalat is the beautiful Van Thanh Flower Village. It is a great backdrop for your travel photo’s background with vast flower fields and greenhouses filled with thousands of brightly colored exotic flowers. This place is hard to leave because the array of colors and scents mesmerize the flower lover.

Truc Lam Temple
Approximately 5km from the Dalat city center, located on Phuong Hoang mountain, Truc Lam is one of the biggest Buddhist Temples in Vietnam. Clearly visible from a distance, the spectacle is spiritually ventilating. The temple’s bell and wooden tocsin, help to calm even the most anxious tourist. Soon you will be feeling truly relaxed and at ease.

Tuyen Lam Lake
Walking down the 140 steps, greeted by the beautiful Tuyen Lam Lake, your heart opens with immense joy. The green pine forest is reflected, unwavering on the lake’s surface. This attraction will lead you into a slumbrous atmosphere, one that’s in total contrast from the noise of the major Vietnamese cities.

Dalat Market
Situated right on the main street Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Dalat Market draws significant numbers of tourists’ attention. At the Dalat Market, you can shop for a broad range of winter clothing, local specialties like jam, mulberry juice, artichoke tea and fried fruits. Nevertheless, this market is not purely a place to trade goods but recognized as a destination of tradition and culture, the keeper of the mist land’s people.

Xuan Huong Lake
The heart of Dalat, Xuan Huong Lake is a man-made lake formed in a crescent-moon shape, stretching over 7km many of the well-known attractions of Dalat such as City Gardens, Yersin Park, and Cu Hill. The best time to view this romantic lake is at dusk or dawn. Lovers prefer the new evening where they can also take a tour around nearby night market with many charismatic pedlars. All creating an unforgettable experience as you enjoy the company of that special someone.

Cau Dat Tea Hills
Around 25km far from the center of Dalat, Cau Dat tea hills at Xuan Truong hamlet open a breathtaking natural spectacle. The beautiful scene and chilly weather attract more and more tourists. The large green tea fields combined with the auric color of November-bloomed Mexican Sunflower create an experience that everybody shouldn’t skip.

Linh Phuoc Pagoda
Linh Phuoc Pagoda just 8 km from the center of Da Lat city is a unique building with original mosaic architecture. The 49 meter high Dragon Statue made from 12.000 beer bottles stands in the pagoda’s shadow. Amazingly this pagoda is the holds 11 Vietnamese records.

Da Lat Station
The old colonial French styled train station in Dong Duong is a real cultural relic. With unique architecture and three pyramidic style roofs, this is a real tourist drawcard for selfies and photos alike.

Da Lat Flowers Forest
The Flower Forest welcomes tourists from far and wide to showcase the “Fresh Forever Flower.” These flowers are dried using Japanese technology actually keeping them unspoiled for between 3 to 5 months. Visitors will be pleasantly surprised and enjoy watching beautiful and lively artworks made from flowers by the artisan’s skillful hands.

Da Lat Teaching College
The college on Yersin Street, recognized as one of the top 1,000 unique structures of the 20th century by the World Association of Architecture is decades old. The highlight of the old school is the unique lecture sequence with a 54-meter high steeple that stands out in the infinite green space.

Con Ga Church (Da Lat Cathedral).
Located on Tran Phu Street, the Con Ga Church is the biggest church in Da Lat. This unique piece of Dalat history boasts 70 stained glass windows which further stamp its European architectural design heritage.

Mai Anh Church or Domain De Marie Church
Located on Ngo Quyen Street, Main Anh Church is around1km to the southwest of central Dalat. The classical solemn style of the 17th century and fresh air bring lots of pleasant feelings for those that visit. Visitors also have an opportunity to give a little back to the community by buying a wooly souvenir sold by the Church for charity purposes.

I was very fortunate to have a five-day trip in this dreamland and to visit the 12 aforementioned places. They are the most breathtaking views that I’ve ever seen!
No one would agree any less that the Van Thanh Flower Village is a place to be after reading this piece. With its abundance in flowers, I can’t wait to visit this village near Dalat.
