Suoi Nong Beach

Suoi Nong is a beautiful beach also located on Con Dao. From Dam Trau, visitors can walk just a short way to the Suoi Nong beach.  The beach has flat white sandy banks and a rare Mangrove Ecosystem.

Con Dao National Park

The Con Dao National Park consists of around 6.000 ha terrestrial and 14.000 ha of water protected by the Vietnamese government. The relationship among coral reefs, seagrass and mangroves make it a rare environment for breeding, reproduction, and preserved sea species.

Con Dao has the most sea turtles in Viet Nam with the most common species being the Hawksbill Turtle. There are around 17 sandbanks where the famous turtles breed.

Hang Duong Cemetery

The biggest cemetery at Con Dao, is the place where many revolutionary fighters and Vietnamese patriots of many exiled generations, lasting from the 1860s to 1970s.

There are over 2,000 graves of famous Vietnamese such as Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen An Ninh, Le Hong Phon buried here.

Con Dao Prison

Known as “Hell on Earth” this prison built by the French to imprison political prisoners. The prison was also used by the Americans in the Vietnam war. The most famous place in this prison is “chuong cop” (tiger cage area). This area is the harshest being solitary confinement. Prisoners here incarcerated in a cell with no bed. They had their feet shackled and lay on a wet cement floor, with bad sanitation often subjected to torture and brutal interrogation.

Located in the north of Con Son Island around 3 kilometers far from Con Dao airport. Sheltered by bay the relationship between the sea and mountain gives it an almost dreamlike mystery.

Con Dao Museum

Built in November 2009, the museum houses 2,000 documents. Objects displayed or characterised into 4 key subject areas.
